Accounting Advisory, Government Contracting Lead
Based in Washington, D.C, Laura is a Partner and the national Government Contracting Industry Leader in CrossCountry Consulting’s Accounting Advisory practice. Laura brings to the firm almost 30 years of deep understanding of, and experience with, complex accounting and financial transactions that have yielded significant value creation for companies serving the U.S. federal government and its agencies. Utilizing her expertise, she leads CrossCountry’s strategy to deliver the firm’s integrated solutions to clients in the aerospace, defense, and government contracting industry.
Previously, Laura spent 15 years at Booz Allen Hamilton serving in a variety of finance leadership roles including Chief Accounting Officer, and most recently, Senior Vice President and Treasurer. She has significant knowledge and experience across technical accounting, risk and compliance, and reporting requirements facing public company and government contractors to include implementing effective business transformations and system integrations. Laura also has extensive experience in capital market transactions and deployments, including initial public offerings, debt refinancings, corporate tax strategies, and acquisitions and divestitures.
Prior to Booz Allen, Laura was a Senior Manager in the Audit and Assurance Practice at EY. She spent 14 years at the firm serving large public and private companies across the government contracting sector. She also held positions in the firm’s National Securities and Exchange Commission Practice Group and National Aerospace and Defense Industry Practice where she provided guidance and thought leadership on accounting and financial reporting topics. Laura’s understanding and practical experience of the complexities of the role of the CFO and their finance organizations provides a unique perspective in applying CrossCountry’s integrated solutions to its clients’ most challenging problems.
Laura received her bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Richmond where she continues to serve as a guest speaker at the University’s Robins School of Business.
