CrossCountry Consulting joined PE leaders at the Kayo Women’s Private Equity Pop-Up to explore the development and demands of exit-readiness strategies in today’s market. The Chicago event focused on how companies can achieve superior exit value, protect fund performance, and position for successful fundraising while advocating and supporting women in the industry.

“The event was extremely valuable for women in not only private equity, but the finance and consulting world to meet and lift each other up,” said Katy Dettman, Director at CrossCountry. “The networking was incredible, with very thoughtful conversations on the challenges that women face, organically leading to wonderful discussions about what we are looking at day-to-day and our careers.”

With billions of dollars’ worth of PE-held assets expected to come to market soon, there’s a high cost of capital required to perform increasingly rigorous due diligence. Bringing a unique, specialized, and human-centered approach to preparing portfolio assets for sale is a staple of CrossCountry’s PE practice and the women leading it.

“There’s not many of us [in the industry], so as one of the panelists mentioned, you can sometimes feel like the only woman in the room,” said Kate Saeva, Director at CrossCountry. “It just meant so much to see other women that have really forged a clear path for themselves in finance and just to be validated to feel that there are other accomplished professionals in this space you can look up to.”

Our commitment to supporting events like the Kayo Women’s Private Equity Pop-Up underscores our dedication to fostering a supportive community for women within the finance and consulting sectors. By participating in these events, we amplify the voices of women leaders who are crucial in shaping the future of our industry.  At CrossCountry, we believe that by championing diversity and collaboration, we can drive innovation and success, paving the way for a more inclusive and dynamic financial landscape.
