International security expert Matt Devost to support CrossCountry’s growth in cybersecurity market
February 19, 2020 (McLean, VA) CrossCountry Consulting, a leading business advisory firm, today announced that it has named noted cybersecurity expert Matthew Devost to its Board of Advisors. Mr. Devost, who is a technologist, entrepreneur and international security expert, brings a broad set of business management and technical expertise to the firm, and will provide guidance through the next level of growth in the cybersecurity market.
With over 25 years of experience specializing in cybersecurity, risk management, counterterrorism, critical infrastructure protection and intelligence issues, Mr. Devost will support CrossCountry’s go-to-market strategy, practice development and select direct client engagement in the cybersecurity sphere. The firm currently provides executive advisory, strategy and transformation, privacy and data protection, cloud security, and cyber risk management services in focus areas such as threat intelligence, insider threat, and cyber attack simulations.

As an entrepreneur, speaker, and author, Mr. Devost is an experienced leader in cybersecurity. As a founder of global cybersecurity consultancy FusionX, he served as President & CEO, helping an international clientele identify and manage dynamic threats in complex operational environments before Accenture acquired the firm in 2015. There, he worked as Managing Director, where he led and grew the Global Cyber Defense practice. Mr. Devost was also a founding employee and Director of Intelligence Analysis for iDefense, which was the first commercial threat intelligence provider, operated as COO for iSIGHT Partners, a global risk identification and mitigation company, and was the founder of the Terrorism Research Center, Inc. (TRC), where he functioned as President and CEO.
Mr. Devost currently serves on the Black Hat advisory board, helping to shape the agenda for a series of world-class information security conferences. He holds a B.A. degree from St. Michael’s College in Political Science and a MA degree specializing in National Security from the University of Vermont.
