Mr. Degnan will be responsible for guiding all aspects of the Accounting Advisory practice
April 21, 2020 (McLean, VA) CrossCountry Consulting, a leading business advisory firm, today announced that Shawn Degnan has been appointed Partner to lead the firm’s national Accounting Advisory practice. Mr. Degnan will be responsible for the overall strategy, client delivery and people, and practice and business development.
Mr. Degnan has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on complex technical accounting issues and strategic transactions, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, and spinoffs. His extensive experience will help to further accelerate the growth of CrossCountry’s Accounting Advisory practice. The firm regularly assists CFOs, controllers, and their organizations anticipate and respond to accounting and transaction-related demands. Specifically, CrossCountry assists with accounting standard implementation, financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of operational accounting, including monthly close, budgeting and financial analysis.

Most recently, Shawn spent nine years at MorganFranklin Consulting as Managing Director and Commercial Market Leader guiding all aspects of the firm’s commercial practice. He spent the first 12 years of his career with EY in its Global Capital Markets and Assurance practices leading delivery of both audit and advisory engagements for large, global SEC registrants and private companies.
